Yearling Shetland Ram - sold

Proven sire, excellent conformation. Small snail scurs.

Fine, crimpy fleece - 3" staple.

He's related to most of our ewes and has sired some

keeper lambs for us already this year, so he's available for a new home.

$200 or will consider trade for a polled white ram with excellent fleece.

Shearing is scheduled for Mar. 8th

Our 2010 shearing is scheduled for March 8th this year.  It's less than two weeks away!
I will skirt the fleeces and post information on any that will be available in the grease.
I am planning to ship quite a bit of it out for processing before the end of the March. 
I should have plenty of BFL and Shetland roving and combed top to choose from at Shepherd's Harvest this year.  This will be my first year as a Shepherd's Harvest vendor, in past years I've shown my sheep in the Hall of Breeds.  Please be sure to stop in and look for my booth there. Shepherd's Harvest takes place over Mother's Day weekend, May 8 & 9, 2010 in Lake Elmo, MN.

Natural Colored Bluefaced Leicester Ram

Beechtree Granite will be three years old in April, 2010, proven sire. Registered, twin. Excellent conformation. 

 We have retained three of his daughters and used him on ewes for 2010 lambs. 

Has been very gentle and easy to handle, but he did get a little feisty when separated from cycling ewes this winter. 

Beechtree Granite is an F2 CarryHouse 281/V002, F3 Barlaes Titus 2217/T005, and F4 Beeston Titan 3138/T85. 

His micron report for 2009 was AFD-29.1, SD-5.3, CV-18.4.  His lamb fleece in 2008 was AFD-25.6, SD-4.2 and CV-16.3.  SOLD

Tanned Sheepskins

Just back from the tanner - two gorgeous washable tanned sheepskins. Use as a throw on a couch or chair, rug, baby bedding, or motorcycle or car seat cover.  Very soft and dense fibers. Six months of wool growth.


The hide above is from a yearling Bluefaced Leicester/Shetland cross and the one below is from a purebred Shetland.  Beautiful natural colors.
